According to “Top hotel” InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) lose 3 hotels in Berlin, Cologne and Dusseldorf. Only 3 InterContinental branded hotels in Hamburg, Frankfurt and Berchtesgaden remain.
Jennifer Fox, IHG's chief operating officer for continental Europe: "We've been in dispute with Neue Dorint GmbH since November 2009. Unless we can resolve this dispute, we'll terminate our management agreements on the InterContinental Berlin, the InterContinental Cologne and the InterContinental Dusseldorf. The termination would mean the hotels would no longer operate under the InterContinental brand, likely from 1 April 2011. Despite our best efforts to resolve the issues, we can no longer continue to work with Neue Dorint GmbH as our business partner. Neue Dorint GmbH leases the hotels from the property owners."
